Chance Solutions LLC operates adoptlocalpets.app. This notice covers this website, including shared animal pages. It does not describe the data practices of the iOS app.

Visiting the website

Cloudflare hosts and protects the website. Technical information such as IP addresses, requested URLs, browser information, and request times may be processed for delivery, security, and troubleshooting. Security features may use cookies or similar technologies. Learn more in Cloudflare’s Privacy Policy.

Shared animal pages

Opening a shared animal link requests that animal’s record through our API service. Your IP address may be used by that service for security and rate limiting. Photos on shared animal pages may load from the listing provider’s image host, which receives the technical information needed to serve them. Homepage screenshots are served by this website and show example listings.

Pet-detail view reporting

Successful shared-pet pages include the animal-specific RescueGroups.org Pet Adoption Tracker image supplied with the listing. Your browser requests that image directly from tracker.rescuegroups.org so RescueGroups.org can report listing views to rescues and shelters. The request includes the pet identifier and provider-supplied reporting parameters, along with your IP address and basic connection and browser information. We do not add your search area, device location, advertising identifiers, or Saved-list contents. The image request omits browser credentials and cookies and does not send a referring-page URL; the tracker is isolated so redirects cannot send it to another host. Our website does not add persistent tracker cookies. This provider reporting is separate from the iOS app’s Firebase analytics and crash reporting, which do not run on this website. Provider retention and use are governed by RescueGroups.org’s privacy policy.

If you email us, we use the information you send to respond to your inquiry. Please avoid sending sensitive personal information. Links to rescues, shelters, and other websites take you to services with their own privacy practices.

Retention and questions

Technical logs and correspondence may be retained as needed to operate and secure the website, respond to inquiries, and meet legal obligations. Service providers may also retain information under their own policies. To request access, correction, or deletion of information you have sent us, email contact@chancesolutions.io. We may need information to verify your request and will explain any information that must be retained. Listing and media providers may collect information about your visits over time and across other websites or apps under their own practices. Our website does not alter its behavior in response to browser Do Not Track signals.
